We do not teach
what we do not practise.
Three ways to learn from real legal work: we hand over a practice, you build your own, or we come and talk about it in front of your audience.
The range
- TrainingWe hand over a practice we run in the field, to your team, in a small group or one to one.See the formats
- WorkshopsYou build the thing, you try to break it, you measure it. We do not build it for you.See the workshops
- SpeakingWe take the floor in front of your teams or your audience on how legal work is changing.See the formats
We pass on what we practise,
nothing else.
Every format comes out of real engagements. We do not teach a tool we have not deployed, we award no certificate, and a subject leaves Academy the day we stop practising it.
Frequently asked
What is the difference between training and a workshop?+
In training we hand over a practice: we show, we explain, you try. In a workshop you build something yourself, you try to break it and you measure it. We frame the work and we push back, we do not build it for you.
Do you run both in-house and open sessions?+
Both. In-house, we work on your material, in your environment, with a single organisation. In open sessions, Academy supplies material designed to be realistic, people sign up individually and the group stays small.
Can I take part on my own?+
Yes, in three ways: an open edition of a workshop, a four-session programme in a small group, or one-to-one training.
Are legal departments and law firms put in the same room?+
Never in the same open session. The documents, the processes, the constraints and the vocabulary are not the same. We run separate editions.
Do I have to be a Pills. client already?+
No. Academy stands on its own, with no prior diagnosis and no prior engagement.
What do I need to know beforehand?+
You need to practise law and know your own documents. For anything involving AI, you need to have used a conversational assistant at least once. No technical skill is required.
How is pricing decided?+
Formats you sign up for individually carry a per-person price, the same for everyone. In-house formats are quoted after a scoping call, based on length, group size, the preparation on your own material and the location.
Who runs the sessions?+
Steve Chrétien, founder of Pills., who leads every engagement personally. No subcontracting, no outside trainers.
In person or remote?+
Both. In-house formats run at your offices or remotely, as you prefer. Formats you sign up for individually run remotely, so a matched group can meet without travelling.
