Make legal a reflex for the business

Legal is brought in once the project is already committed.

You will recognise it
  1. You are called once the contract is already negotiated.
  2. You discover a project at signing time.
  3. Legal is seen as the step that slows things down.

A step comes at the wrong moment.

On an engagement

2021 · French professional services group · 5 lawyers · 1,500 employees

Legal had published a four-page escalation procedure. Three weeks later, almost nobody had read it. 46% of employees did not know when to involve legal, and 28% of requests arrived incomplete. The problem was not the procedure, but its place in everyday work.

We replaced “here is the procedure” with “here is what to do in this situation”: short messages on when to contact legal, through which channel, with which information, placed in the tools where the need arises (Teams, SharePoint, automated emails). In five months, employees who did not know when to involve legal fell from 46% to 14%, and incomplete requests from 28% to 12%.

What changes

Legal often arrives once the project is already committed. It becomes a reflex when the moment to involve it is built into the business’s own steps.

What we put in place

Entry points for legal in sales processes and projects, with a simple channel to reach it.
